Transport Operators

Looking for a challenging and rewarding career as a Transport Operator Join the ‘wild side’ of the oil and gas industry here at Wild Desert.

Whether you are new to driving, looking for a career change, or have decades of experience, there is a place for you on our team. We are a family owned and operated business that started from the ground up in Roma, QLD. Since our founding in 2005, we have expanded from 1 to 15 rigs, 1 to 45 prime movers, and 1 to 10 camps. But it is our team growth that we pride ourselves on the most, from 2 people in 2005 to 400 people today. We are not done growing, and we want you to jump on board.

As a Transport Operator at Wild Desert, you are provided with accommodation at our very own onsite camps (including meals & laundry), on-the-job training, genuine career progression, a fun yet hard-working team environment, and a fleet of trucks we pride ourselves on. You’ll find yourself behind the wheel of Western Star’s, Kenworth’s, Mack’s, and International Transtar’s – mostly 18-speed classics, and some modern automatics.

There is the option to work from our QLD depot in Roma, or our SA depot in Moomba.
